Sunshine Stars midfielder, Ayo Saka has predicted a difficult top-flight clash at six-time Nigerian champions, Enugu Rangers.
The Owena Waves will be the guests of the Flying Antelopes in
Sunday’s Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) matchday 36 clash
at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu.
Saka said he will wish the Coal City well in the quest to be
champions after his side must have pocketed the whole three points at
stake.
“The NPFL matchday 36 clash is not going to be easy for both sides as
Enugu Rangers need the whole points to chance reclaiming the summit
while we equally need the points to shore up our position and inch close
to grabbing a slot at the continent.
“If we win the encounter it will help us greatly in our quest to end the season’s campaign on high.
“However, I will like the better and lucky side win the clash though I
will gladly want Sunshine Stars to be the better side that will claim
the whole points at the end of the day.
“If we are able to achieve the landmark I will gladly wish Enugu
Rangers well in subsequent matches especially in their concerted fight
to be champions,” said the former Enyimba playmaker to supersport.com.
The Akure Gunners are fifth on the Nigerian top-flight log on 50 points six adrift league leaders, Rivers United.
