2 Nigerians arrested for drug trafficking in India


Two Nigerians have added to the shame of the nation after they were arrested in India for trafficking in drugs.

Two Nigerian men, Joseph Nduba, 25, and 32-year-old Sunday Nwite, have been arrested in India for drug trafficking after 50 grammes of cocaine was found on them.

The two suspects, according to Indian Crimes, were arrested by the Narcotics wing of the Central Crime Branch (CCB), following a sting operation they mountedThe report has it that Nduba and Nwite who have been living in the country illegally, were arrested while trying to sell the drugs at their apartment in Indiranagar in the Bangalore area on Friday, October 14, 2016.

During interrogation, the suspects were said to have confessed that they used to get cocaine from their contact, another Nigerian, whom they identified as Ben from T.C. Palya, to sell to end users.The police have seized their passports and remanded them in judicial custody while efforts are being made to arrest the supplier who is said to be on the run.
